UPDATE: Bill correctly notes that this is the same DJ-3A as pictured a few months ago, except that it has been painted and the price raised $100.
No motor. The body sure looks good. I don’t know what it takes to get this back over the border.
“Motorless Jeep style Mexican army vehicle. Papers are perfectly legal within Mexico borders. It used to work perfectly fine until its former owner took the engine to use it into another similar vehicle. It is a perfect project if you have the time, you’ll love to spend time with this relic. For further questions, you can reach me via this e-mail or by nextel: 152*14*24137, ask for Salvador.”

Here are pre paint images:
I wonder if this is the one that was advertised previously for about the same price with a towbar on it that also needed to be imported across the border…Sure looks similar!
I wondered the same thing. I found that the previous DJ from Tijuana pictured here http://www.ewillys.com/?p=38692 looks in poorer shape then the DJ above.
Check out how the passenger light in the grille has no apparent Chrome ring….and the driver’s side has one….and then look at the right front wheel and white letter tire……No windshield glass, and the other wheels look very similar to the earlier posting. I think someone decided to put a little elbow grease into the old jeep along with some grey primer…..
I could be wrong but I have a hunch I am not…I was wrong about the tow bar tho…. that was one in California.
Bill .. on further review … you are absolutely right. I second your analysis. Thanks for correcting me! I’ll update the post.
