John spotted a flattie with an engine that has a serial number we don’t recognize. You can see the pics below. As far as we both can tell, the engine should start with a “J” rather than a “V”. Anyone know why?

The rest of the jeep is not a cjv35u is it?
Not that I know of. John said the the jeep he was looking at was a ’47 or ’48 cj2a. That is the reason the engine number confused him. I’ll get some more info about it from John.
