“1965 Willy’s CJ-5. Engine: 225cu. in V-6 (orig. ‘63 Buick engine), Re-built 2 barrel Rochester carburetor, Re-built oil pump, All gaskets & seals, New Ignition. Drive Train: New B&G clutch incl. throw-out bearings, plate & tensioners, New 3-sp transmission, Re-built transfer case, F+R universals, wheels bearings incl 4wd & seals all, Rebuilt front differential. All seals under jeep. Brakes: Original/new shoes & cylinders. Also: Trailer hitch, New paint (originally no rust), PTO Ramsey winch (Drive line re-built/ HD universals & carrier bearing), Roll bar. HAVE THE FRONT FENDERS BE TRIMED OFF?
Yes, it appears they were simply cut. There is a way to more graceful way to alter these fenders and the folks over at jeepbrokers.com demonstrate it: http://www.jeepbrokers.com/jeep_project_5_flat_fendering.htm
I believe there were some aftermarket CJ-5 flatish fenders that were also produced, however i can’t locate pics of them at the moment.
