It’s priced a bit high for a non-running vehicle. While the body looks straight, it appears there have been a few changes, such as the rear bumper for example. Also, by 1961 were these still running split windshields?
“We have too many projects and not enough time, so its time to clear some space. This is a factory extended body, 304 AMC V8 rebuilt a few years ago but never ran, 4 speed tranny, NOT in running condition at this time, needs some work, No rust or bondo body is straight, and a clear/clean title. We may be open to trades for a running 4X4, hay, or ATV’s”
I don’t believe any of the civilian jeeps had split windshields past the 2A did they? The M38A1 did and so did the the military CJ-6. Also the 304 would not be the stock engine for this vintage. Likely the F-head. I don’t believe they offered the Dauntless V-6 until the mid sixties…
I didn’t think the split windshields were offered on CJs either, but decided to google the issue. I discovered the split windshields were factory options for CJ-5s and Cj-6s. However, mostly these were an export item. That’s according to the CJ-5 website http://www.earlycj5.com/tech/body/windshields/Windshields.php
