Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. Drivetrain is complete – interior is your open canvas! No serious rust, very solid. I do have two foldable seats you can also have if you like. Thought I wanted a cool project but then reality caught up. I did get it cleaned up and running – sounded great – but just don’t have the facilities/tools/know how at this time to continue. “PACKAGE DEAL, PRICE LOWERED, 1951 Willy’s tan, all the body parts are pretty good, rolling chassis, the engine has been rebuilt several years ago, it’s on the engine stand, transmission and transfer case need rebuilt.
Need to sell ASAP to pay medical expenses!!
1947 Willy’s blue, had it running last year, transmission and transfer case work. Front axle is installed from a Land Rover, no rear axle.

“I have a 1949 willys jeep cj3. Disassembled it in 2009 and has been sitting since. Sandblasted a lot of the bad parts of the body and cut out all the rest. Started to weld some plates in and that’s where I stopped. Just haven’t had time to get back to it. I put the body back on to the frame just recently. All of the drivetrain is still in good shape I just got a gasket kit for the carburetor and cleaned it all out. I can show you that it starts and runs. I have the windshield fenders Hood and everything for it. Did have a new exhaust put on it right before it was parked as well as a new gas tank. I do have a clear Colorado title for it. 1200 firm I will not take any less.”
This might just be the least descriptive ad I’ve seen for a vintage jeep. No pics provided.
