(05/09/2011) The pin striping is unusual. It looks solid.

(04/03/2011) I’m not sure if the lower right is the final jeep or the other three pics. There seem to be two different paint jobs.
“1943 Willys MB military jeep, complete restoration, new tires, brakes, clutch, battery, paint, restored as it was in 1943, give me a call 414-329-0389”
I’ve never been a big fan of the DJ-5s (just not my thing), but I think this might be the best use of a mail jeep since they stopped delivering mail!
UPDATE: I suggested that the Surrey owner hadn’t gone full out with the Pepsi theme, as the racer below had. Lester correctly points out that the Surrey represents an older color scheme (which was before my time). If you look through these images, you’ll see the Surrey has the earlier, full color scheme of light blue, red, yellow and white colors. Thanks Lester!
I’m sure the pepsi folks wouldn’t want to be left out, so here are 2 different pepsi jeeps.
I think this builder couldn’t decide between Coke or Pepsi. I found it at jeepfan.com.
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $2500.
This appears pretty stock, thought needs work.

Yeah, it has an engine, but it should be installed in the front, not the back. It might be why the seller is having problems with it.
“Old Willys flat fender jeep has 2.8 V-6 Chevy motor. Very little rust $1000.00”

“1942 Willys. Clear Title. Not running, all original drivetrain, pretty much all there except the seats of coarse. Make me an offer, need to make room for another project.”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $2500. This may be a VEC.
The ‘body and interior are ready for complete restoration’? I’m still looking for the ‘vintage’ part of this jeep.
“This listing is for a vintage 1946 Willys CJ2A Jeep. Had been used as a prop in MASH TV show and also in many local parades. A few extra pieces were installed by the TV studio for appearance such as the front fender lamp, side handles, extra gas tank, amo boxes, helmet, shovel, field glasses and rear tire. Included are the original canvas top and side doors, which will need restoration. The jeep body and interior are ready for complete restoration. There is rust rot on body and the seat pads have deteriorated. Dash gauges are intact and believed to be working. Motor is in good condition and was last used at the local 2009 Memorial day parade. Great historic and collectible jeep ready for TLC restoration. The vehicle is being offered in AS IS condition. VIN # CJA26448 Original title available”
I think partially restored might be more accurate, though I”m not sure which parts would qualify as ‘restored’.
“Restored 1947 Willys Jeep. Tagged & titled. Runs great. $5,000. For questions email or call (678) three -seven-eight 9320.”

The steps are supersized on this jeep.
“1945 Willys Jeep for sale. New tires, new paint( fast paint job) gauges not working. Crack in windshield…. but runs and drives pretty good. $3,500”
It might be the camera, but it looks like the nose on this points down slightly.
“1948 Jeep Willy great condition, new battery, tires, steering, started restoring and don’t have time. Call five zero seven 246 five one six zero”
I think this looks interesting. It appears to have been customized a little years ago.
“1949 Willys Jeep Panel Wagon Project Car. Has flathead V8.”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $5400.
This has a few mods.
“For sale is a 1946 Willys CJ2A Jeep. The jeep has a 215 cu inch V8, new tires, shocks, stereo, original running gear, and it runs great. It would make a very good rock crawler or daily drive if the gears were changed out. This jeep is in excellent condition so it could be brought back to original condition. Serious inquiries only. Please email me with 1946 Willys in the subject and provide your phone number. Thanks! This jeep is located in downtown Erie and was bought in Ocala Florida. Mileage is stated at 1268.”
This is a project.

UPDATE: I initially had this as a front axle modification, which was clearly incorrect (the lack of a stearing knuckle should have been my first clue!)
Thanks to John for putting together the narrative and the images!
“Thought some other folks might find this interesting, especially those that have swapped to the D44 rear axle.
Bob forwarded some links to jeeps from the WW2 In Color website and the Lone Sentry Site.
