“Drove it into its resting place indoors 4 years ago hasn’t moved since”
This has been sitting since I graduated high school; that was a long time (and several lifetimes) ago!! That said, there seems to be some parts value.

“Heap of a Jeep CJ2A. Dad’s old Jeep that’s been owned since 1960. Been sitting outside and completely rusted out. Has a title, the T-90 transmission and both differentials plus transfer case. It is what it is has a good hood, grille, fenders and tailgate. It’s junk but this kind of junk has some value so come get it.”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $900.
(05/02/2022) Given the indents and the full floaters, this might have been a 1945. If there was a column shift, it’s been replaced with a floor shifter. Just one pic provided.
“46 CJ2A runs drives and stops. I have the original gauges in a box. She needs a new tub and body package. A rewire once you have the tub off. I’m trying to not loose too much money. My mechanic retired and I don’t have the tools to finish her. More pictures available upon request. She’s been parked in the barn for a while I’ll have to drive her out to get better pictures. Not selling because I need money just want someone to finish her.”
Mike shared a newspaper ad related to his job as a newspaper carrier. He purchased and drove a Jeep Fleetvan to deliver the newspapers.
He writes, “I drove this Jeep Fleetvan for many years, working for Suburban Newsdealers, Clifton NJ. Back then, (late 70’s early 80’s) there was “loose talk” about newspapers being delivered to your home by computer, nobody believed it.
This was a company I worked for in the late 60’s, in NJ common practice to have motor routes home delivering close to 1000 copies a day. The guy I worked for had 2 fleetvans, one for parts. Both eventually ended up in the junk yard up the street from where I worked. I wanted to drag it home but no place to store it, besides, my dad would of had a S__T fit.”
This video highlights the Day 4 adventures from the Fall colors tour in Colorado.
Here’s an unusual contest prize: a new jeep truck with a tow package that included a Canfield wrecker setup along with a Canfield push plate on the front. This grand prize was awarded to the person would created the best cartoon featuring “Wiry Joe”. The Crescent company was the maker of Wiry Joe automotive wire and cable products. It tried to find out more, but all I could unearth was that someone in Rhode Island won one of the cameras.
The ad is priced at $19.97, while the whole magazine can be purchased for $10.99 (or less).
UPDATE: Here’s another dealer-oriented ad, this time from 1953:

Originally published May 27, 2022: I’ve never seen these ads. They appear to be focused on dealers. It’s unclear where these were published. The seller has a variety of other more standard, consumer-oriented ads.
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was on eBay.

If you like oddball 4wd vehicles, Bill shared this rare Suzuki that’s currently on eBay.
1972 Suzuki LJ20 4×4
Sometimes referred to as Brute or Jimny
Oklahoma title in my name (sold as is) This is a 50 year old classic vehicle!
Very little rust in floor pan, one rust hole near seat mount (about playing card size)
Rust where original battery mount was. See pic.
Can help as needed to load for U-ship or other transport
Thought to be correct vintage TEN “seek and scan” Suzuki radio Can manually get a station, but weak….very rare accessory!
Tire mounted on the rear is more like the original tire “look”. This is a 5.50-16 tire very similar to what was original equipment. All the original wheels on the jeep are 16 inch. This rear mounted spare tire is an inexpensive option, as it is a tractor front tire. Check prices on eBay tractor 5.50-16 tires for off road use, if you want to go for an original look!

David shared this ad. It looks to be some of the parts for a CJ-5 Kelly hardtop. However, I do not see pics of the rear door or the top portion of the top.

“These fit a 60s to 70s jeep m38 or cj5 these may be the only metal doors like these in the entire state of California, they both need door handles and the window mechanism works just fine and the window glass is in perfect condition also they do make after market doors handles for these doors.”
This brochure is from 1958, which might make it one of the earliest brochures. It was posted to Facebook by Richard Harper, which came from Sam Higginbotham.
This seems worth a look.
