UPDATE: Still Available
(05/23/2013) The seller labels this a WWII Jeep in the Craigslist title, but it looks more like a CJ-3A.
“I have a Willys Jeep that would be a great base for a restoration project. The motor purrs, and was just put in after being gone over thouroughly. It starts quickly and idles effortlessly.
The body is a little rough, but everything is mostly there and needs only time and TLC.
You basically have to see it to assess what you need to do. It will make someone a nice project because the basics are all there pretty much. It is driveable as you can see in the pics.
Finding one of these driveable is rare (unless restored), and most aren’t even a rolling chassis.
If you want to see it, it will be at the Ripkin Stadium in Aberdeen, Maryland this weekend for the Military Flea Market. Come and see it and make me an offer !
I’m asking a very reasonable $3500 WITH TITLE ! GETTING A WILLYS WITH TITLE IS VERY RARE ! If I don’t sell it at the show, it will be back in Bel Air after Saturday.
I also can deliver it for you for a reasonable fee.
Please call Bob @ 410-236-7436 NO TEXTS”
What a great idea! Remove the seats, sit on the gas tank and you’ll be looking thru the center of the windshield. A perfect modification for tall drivers.
In most people’s minds, every old jeep is a military jeep.
For a moment there, I thought it was Sam Thomas at MotorPool.
