“I am selling a 1947 Willys CJ2A Jeep. As you probably know, this is the first generation post war civilian Jeep. I bought three of these and am restoring the second one, and have decided to sell this one off. As seen in the pictures, I have a very good, usable front clip for this Jeep, two T-90 transmissions a Dana 18 transfer case and a Dana 44 rear axle (an upgrade if you choose to use it).

The main tub, tailgate and seat frames will need to be replaced. I have purchased two repo Jeep bodies and they work out very well (happy to help you with this process if you decide to buy a new body). Or, you may find a used tub that could be used. As I mentioned, I have restored two of these and have lots of info and resources for parts, etc. I developed a four page spreadsheet just to document the hardware required and where it is used.

I’ve rebuilt several of the transmissions and transfer cases and they are relatively easy to do. I am sure this engine will need to be rebuilt, or could be replaced with a runner for a few hundred, if you choose to go that way. Also, please note that this Jeep is equipped with a set of Warn hubs.

I have a clean PA title in my name. The wheels are excellent, and very hard to find in this condition. There is a fifth wheel for the spare. The vehicle is being stored in Somerset, PA so I will have to schedule times to show this (about an hour south of where I live).

These are very easy to restore and virtually every part is available, either new or used. I am asking $2999 and am open to reasonable offers. Please communicate with me through the Craigslist app and send your phone number if you’d like me to call you.”
