I think I’ve gotten that wrong once before. I’ll correct that right now. Thanks!

For sale since July 2010??? I know things move slow in Sioux City (I was actually born there… Mom went to Morningside College), but after almost 4 years, you’d think this would have found a new owner. Of course not at that price.

Well, I’m not trying to offend anyone, Brock, especially if this is yours. But I’d say $2000 +/- would move it. True, this has extra “go” and “whoa” with that V6, disc brakes, and upgraded steering (all great things, unless you prefer original), but it’s a project… needing to be assembled.
I also understand the value added items (second soft top, other transmissions, transfer cases, and adapters) add up to more than $1000 if sold separately, but that’s how they should be sold to maximize $$ to seller. I got my ’48 in similar, but running condition for $2000 with an extra engine I now have in my GPW. The test drive up a 45 degree hill sold it… he didn’t mention it needed the brakes completely replaced (oops). I bought a mixed ’44 MB/CJ for $1600 (it also runs) after trying hard for weeks to help that seller get the $2500 he wanted. Not bragging: those are just my data points.
But we all know it’s true worth is what a willing buyer will pay or trade for it… and if it’s truly been for sale since 2010, I’d recommend putting on the fenders, hood, and the soft top for some new/additional pics (even if you just drape/pin them in place), and sell the value added items separately (Craigslist or eBay).

I hear you Joe, I usually pay less than $500 for a Jeep. I will probably take your advice and sell off the extras seperatly. The Jeep however I am ok if I never sell it. The bad thing is the actual value is less than the sentimental value.

Joe, Dave email me your ad. Thank you as it probably does need a rewrite and a few more assembled pictures. I would like it if you lived closer and could give me a hand with it, I do not want or need to sell it but I can not see light at the end of the tunnel. I would love to drive this but I am having a hard time getting to that point

Brock, that’s a tough call… since I think it’s worth 2500. Have you tried posting it on the Omaha, Des Moines, or Sioux Falls CraigsList? I still think it’s a good idea to update the pics with one showing the hood on (so it looks complete). Not sure if you can pin the fenders in place (because of the headers).
