UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $6500.
(04/16/2015) This formerly had a diesel engine.
“This is a clean Jeep built in 1965 by Mitsubishi under license by Kaiser Jeep Corp. These are rare, but well made. They have a higher hood. This one has a PTO driven Ramsey winch in front. It has an odd fire 3.8 GM V-6- which means high torque. Runs great! It is also equipped with a mechanical air compressor driven off the engine. Has a CB radio. Good Rubber. Roll bar. Exhaust has shorties. No rust anywhere. This came out of southern AZ. We built a tow bar for it, so it will be ready to tow to the high country and hit the trails. Great Hunting Jeep. Unit is street legal.”
No comments from Todd or Chris on this? I thought they were CJ3B guys… and I’d get to learn something about this “Mitsubishi” version.
I like the vented windshield: haven’t seen that for a high hood frame before.
Oh hey Joe, I totally skipped over this one. It does look to be a j3 model. Pretty much identical to a cj3b ut mitsubishi added the vent in the windshield frame(which I like). They also added a glove box which is definitely smart. Willys never put one in to save money and plus they had the tool box. The wife loves it when I ask her to please stand up for I can get something out of it. Later versions curved the front fenders and added more mirrors, more taillights. Mitsubishi also put the 3b on a wagon and truck body that look pretty cool
Thanks 🙂
Wow, I’m so late to the party. Hey brother, do you see what I see? Yes sir, there is the 2 year only radiator that I need to complete my Ren 2! How the heck did it end up in this? My wife would shoot me if I bought this jeep for its radiator! I like that venting windshield frame. Sorry Joe, I can’t think right now…bro, need to talk this out. I’m dangerous. First correct radiator I’ve seen in a loooooong time. Help me Obi-Wan Kenobe!
A shame it doesn’t have the Mitsubishi diesel. I had a Ford Ranger with a Mitsubishi diesel, it was the best powered vehicle
Some new pics. That’s a lot of diamond plate.
I have a diesel powered J53 Mitsu-Jeep. It is an amazing Jeep, and definitely my favorite of the 6 Jeeps I’ve owned. It is a shame it doesn’t have the original engine. I’d like to hear the reasoning of why they replaced it.
This jeep still available ? Also Tittle and license plate .Call me 703 2426384
Jimmy,
Looks like this one sold. I’ve updated the post.
