Steve found this cool photo. It shows Milwaukee Brewer outfielder Johnny Price putting on a pre-game exhibition of catching balls using a jeep. The local dealer, Laurel C. Worman, arranged the event.

Strange that the jeep didn’t have a winshield mounted? Wonder why?

I noticed that too. Since he was in the outfield catching fly balls and grounders in the jeep, I believe they thought it would be better not to have the windshield in his way or, worse, have a ball hit the windshield and spray him with glass.
