Late 1950s(?) advertising pennant.
“THIS AUCTION IS FOR ONE VERY LARGE AND ORIGINAL WILLYS JEEP DEALER SALES PENNANT WITH 2 TASSELS ON A WOODEN DOWEL WITH A POINT AT THE END. THE PENNANT IS 29 INCHES X 39 INCHES AND THE DOWEL IS 461/2 INCHES LONG. THE PENNANT IS MADE OF A SILK-LIKE MATERIAL AND IS VERY LIGHT. Isn’t that the Kaiser emblem in the background? I think the earliest Maverick (1959?) had it on the side.
That’s what I thought, too. I thought the pennant might have been related to the Maverick, which is why I pegged it as at least late 1950s.
